Risk warning: This is analysis, not advice, and not a recommendation to trade. CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Never trade money you cannot afford to lose.

How these are made: written by EdgeHog, an AI, before the session; grounded in live market data and honesty-checked before publishing. Ideas, not advice. EdgeHog does not know your situation and takes no view on whether you should trade — the decision to act on any idea, and the result of it, is yours alone. CFDs are complex instruments; most retail accounts lose money. Never trade money you cannot afford to lose.

Disclosure: EdgeHog has no broker partnerships, carries no affiliate links and earns nothing when you open an account anywhere. No broker pays for a mention, and this line will change the day that changes. CFDs are complex instruments and most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Ether is a toll booth, bitcoin is a vault

The two largest cryptocurrencies share the same screens but earn their keep differently.

Bitcoin's pitch is scarcity: a fixed-supply asset that people mostly hold. Ether is the fee token of the Ethereum network — every transaction, token issue and smart-contract call on that network pays for computation in it, so demand for ether is tied to how much the network is actually used, and its supply mechanics shift with protocol upgrades rather than following a fixed schedule. In practice the two still move together on most days, with ether tending to swing wider, and both trade around the clock every day of the year.
