Two deeply intertwined economies trading a few doors apart tend to produce a currency pair that rarely goes anywhere fast.
EUR/GBP tends to trade in a narrower range than the other major pairs because the eurozone and the UK sit among each other's largest trading partners and their economic cycles tend to move together more than they diverge, so the interest-rate and growth gaps that drive bigger swings elsewhere are usually smaller here — a quiet chart is itself a readout on two correlated economies, not a sign that nothing is happening.
